Angus McEwan RSW ARWS

Angus was born in 1963 in Dundee, Scotland but now lives in Wormit, in the kingdom of Fife. In 1983 Angus McEwan went to Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art in Dundee, Scotland and did a Degree in Fine Art then a Post-Graduate Degree in Fine Art


Angus did a postgraduate certificate in Secondary Education at Aberdeen’s Northern College, gaining a distinction in 1995.


Angus was then approached to do some part-time teaching at Dundee & Angus College, and currently teaches on the Portfolio course, HNC contemporary Art practise, and life drawing.


He has also held watercolour workshops and demonstrations in Fabriano, Vicenza and Moscow in 2014.


Angus has had 21 one-man shows over the past 26 years and has taken part in numerous group and mixed exhibitions.


His work can be seen in many group shows, in Scotland, RSA, RSW, RGI, etc., as well as in Commercial Galleries, such as “The open eye Gallery” in Edinburgh, “Frames Gallery” Perth, “Gallery Q”, Dundee and in England at the RWS, Bankside Gallery, Plus One gallery, London “Sunday Times” watercolour competition, “Thompsons Gallery Group”, Aldeburgh & Marylebone.


Angus has shown in Galleries in the United States including the Ok Harris Gallery New York and the Quanhua Gallery, Shanghai, China. Most recently he has shown across China in the Shenzhen Biennial, and the Qingdao International watercolour Salon. He has exhibited in Fabriano, Italy in the International Prize “Marche d’acqua” as special guest and Vicenza, Italy, having a solo spot in the Artsbox. 2014 has also seen him as one of 23 finalists in Narbonne, France in the Concours mondial de l’aquarelle, 1st World watercolour Competition. Angus has also exhibited in the World watermedia Exposition, Thailand and the Myro Gallery, Thessaloniki, Greece. He has also shown in the Watercolour International II also in Thessaloniki, Greece.



Angus’s work is in numerous Private collections throughout the U.K., Norway, Holland, Australia, Italy, China and North America.
